Great organisations

WIMA – Women’s International Motorcycle Association:
When I became a member in 2004 the we joked about that it was an organisation for women who are adventouruos and can stand a bit of rain. During my years and and the rallies I’ve attended both in Sweden and internationally it has proved to be true.

With the Swedish WIMA branch there is two annual gatherings, one in the spring and one in the autumn. Internationally WIMA is represented in countries all over the globe. One nation host a rally every year. So far I have attended rallies in Sweden, New Zeeland, Switzerland, Japan, Holland Great Britain and Austria. I hope to post more about that later on.

The Swedish Ducaticlub:

This is the organsiation for everyone who keep Ducati in ther heart. In Gothenburg where I used to live there was a café-gathering every wednesday and for me a most apreciatd opportunity to talk about the wounders of our bikes and exchange experiences. The Swedish Ducati club also has a very usefull forum on the internet where members can discuss our precious bikes and related things. The tecnical section of the forum has helped me out more times than I can remember and many members are very skilled in the garage. An over all helpfull organisation where you can share your joys as well as problems, a bit like a big Ducati familly.

Sveriges Motorcyklister, SMC:
An Swedish organsiation that looks after the rights of the bikers in Sweden. Keeps an eye out for changes in the law etc. Helps keeping Sweden a lovely country to ride in. Also organises riding experiences/trackdays/trackcourses etc. Has a usefull website and forum.
