Sweden | Day 11: Värmland

I left a grey and rather rainy Gothenburg to ride north.

I had a nice ride on very familiar roads taking me up to Värmland and the village of Segerstad. This is my place in the world and possibly the most beautiful place too.

Sweden | Day 10: A lovely summer day

It’s been a perfect day. Summer in Sweden can be so fantastic and this was such a day. It started with breakfast on the terrace followed by a visit to the beach. I built a sandcastle with my friend and her daughter, had a swim in the sea and picnic on the cliffs.

Later that day I went for coffee with another dear friend. I know that I won’t be able to see all the people that are dear to me but I value the meetings that do take place and I hope that there will be a next time for the rest of you.

In the evening I went to The Café – Jungrens Café – for the weekly get-together with the west coast branch of the Swedish Ducati Club. Every time I go there it’s like I never been away, and I mean that in a good way. I love to hear what’s going on with people’s bikes, the projects, who’s rebuilding or modifying. About other’s vacations, track days, you name it… some things just never change!
