The movie: 2-wheels 1-world 0-money

I’ve been ill, after that I was sick, then unwell and lately just tired. Spirit has been low and riding limited to commuting to work. Then today I found this amazing link and when I looked further into it my mood significantly improved!

2-wheels 1-world 0-money THE MOVIE

Daniel Rintz has travelled around the world for two and a half years and visited 27 countries. He made his living while travelling and filmed it all. Now he is raising money to produce the film!! Make your contribution and you’ll get the movie, and some other cool stuff too. My prefered option was the movie download + charity combo. I do look forward to both!

Are you taking yourself too seriously?

Are you? Taking yourself too seriously?
For me work has started and life sometimes seems tedious. There’s not enough spare time to reload energy between work and no energy to do fun stuff on the weekends. The need for sleep seems endless and summer holiday is too far away.

Well, then it is time to remember what makes life worth living. Work might pay rent but it doesn’t make me who I am. When I feel stuck in a rut I always come back to this Swedish rock group, they are called Kenneth and the Knutters and for a Swede the name expains it all. They are bikers who write and play for bikers about the love for the bike and biker life. They for sure don’t take themselves too seriously and if you take time to watch this youtube clip from the 80s you’ll understand. It even has English subs so there is a possibility for understanding for non-Swedes as well. Pay extra attention to the dancers, I’m sure they beat most of what you have seen so far, in their own way.

My very dear biker friend Lillemor sent me their last album, she actually got it autographed for me as well. Right now there is no better music to remind me not to take life nor myself too seriously and furthermore it is perfect for the jog in the park.

Tipi and Chae around the world on scooters

If, like me, you are impressed with ”The Long Way Round” and the riding adventure of Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman you will be amazed by this!

In Austria and the WIMA rally I met Tipi and Chae from Korea, two young scooter riders who are riding around the world on their 125cc scooters. No support vehicles, no medical assistance and very limited packing possibilities but lots of confidence that it is possible to fullfil a dream if you really want to. They had been travelling for about a year, from Korea through Russia to Europe, and seen most of the countries from Spain in the south to the very north of Norway. They where planning to stay out another year or two before riding back through the Middle-East.

I am honoured to have meet these brave girls, they have reminded me that anything is possible!
